NEWS FROM THE BATTLEFIELD ![]() Welcome to News From the Battle Field, where we share Praise reports and happenings from the Prisons and Places we go. The Lord has truely Blessed the ministry since it started we have seen over 2500 decisions for Christ. I wish we could list all the things that God has done for us and the ministry but it would take more time and space than we have, so we will start here and more forward. WARRIOR PRISON AND OUTREACH MINISTRIES NEWS FROM THE BATTLEFIELD AUGUST 2006 Welcome to the first edition of our monthly newsletter. It has been a long time in coming, but its here now. We hope you enjoy it. We will be adding and improving it as we go along. First we just want to take an opportunity to thank God for allowing us to continue to fight the good fight. Its has been a long hard road and the enemy has tried to stop us from doing what God has called us to do, but we’re not going to let him win. There are to many people dying lost on the battlefield everyday for us to stop now. Each and every born again child of God must get busy reaching out to those around us, spreading the Gospel and sharing what Jesus Christ has done for us. The battle rages and the fields are truly “white unto harvest”. We have had the opportunity to go to Faith Home in Cowpens twice this month to share the Word and spend time with the guys. Faith Home is a “Christian Rehabilitation Center for Alcoholics and Drug Addicts”. They do a great work there. When we go we not only do the devotional but also we spend time sharing and talking with the guys both at the home and at their two thrift store locations. God has been doing an awesome job there and we are thankful to be a part of it. The new Bible study we were able to be a part of at Perry Correctional on Wednesday nights is continuing to grow. We will be starting a study of Romans this week. Its good to see men hungry for the Word of God, wanting to know more about Him and how he can change our lives. This month we also had an opportunity to help provide spiritual support and a place to stay for an ex-inmate who wanted to get into a detox program. He was able to get into and complete the program. Please keep him in your prayers. God knows who he is. We continue to go to both Laurens and Cherokee county detention centers during the week to do Bible studies and counsel with the men and women there. God really showed out this week. We normally see decisions each week but we saw twelve (12) in just one pod at Cherokee and at least eight (8) in one study at Laurens. Praise God because it’s all Him and about Him not us because we are nothing without God. The ministry also provided two (2) cases of Bibles to the Anderson County detention center and a case of Bibles to Cherokee county detention. Please keep this ministry and us in your prayers. God is continuing to open doors and we are looking forward to what is to come. We thank your for your support and ask that you continue to pray and support this ministry as God leads you. He may not have called you to go into a prison but He may have given you the means to support those that do. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” EPHESIANS 6:10, 11 KJV ![]() |
